Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has praised his players’ commitment and discipline following their hard-fought win over Hearts of Oak on matchday 9.
Kotoko snatched a narrow 0-1 win over their arch rivals in the Super Clash on Sunday, November 9, 2025 to extend their unbeaten run.
Speaking after the match, Zito attributed the team’s success to their strong mentality and work ethic.
“Hard work, dedication and attitude did the magic for us,” he said.
Guinean striker Morifing Donzo scored the only goal in the fixture after expertly converting a penalty in the first half.
The victory send Kotoko to 7th on the table with three games in hand as they trail league leaders Aduana Stars by 5 points.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak after suffering their first defeat of the season are 4th with 16 points.
