Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has taken to social media to express his profound gratitude to Ghanaians, especially his fanbase, after he missed out on the just-announced Grammy nominations.

In a post shared on X on November 7, 2025, Shatta Wale thanked his fans for their immense support.

“Hey, thank you all for the support, though,” he said.

69th Grammy Awards: Ghana misses out as nominations drop

The official nominations for the 69th Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 1, 2026, were announced on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Despite submissions from the likes of M.anifest, Gyakie, Shatta Wale, MOGmusic, Epixode, and Kwaw Kese, whose works had been submitted for categories such as Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Album, the shortlist this year includes exclusively non-Ghanaian acts.

Meanwhile, the nominees for the Best Africa Music Performance category include Love by Burna Boy, With You by Davido featuring Omah Lay, Hope & Love by Eddy Kenzo & Mehran Matin, Gimme Dat by Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid, and PUSH 2 START by Tyla.
