SML founder is an independent entrepreneur, not a political proxy

Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) has dismissed recent claims by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) suggesting that its founder, Mr. Evans Adusei, was involved in political patronage or illicit enrichment.

Speaking on behalf of the company at a presser in Accra on Friday, November 7, Solicitor Cephas Boyuo said the allegations lack factual and evidentiary support.

He stressed that there is no evidence of political sponsorship or procurement influence in Mr. Adusei’s business dealings.

“The OSP’s assertion that Mr. Evans Adusei, the founder of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited, was a proxy used for political patronage or illicit enrichment lacks factual and evidentiary foundation,” Boyuo said.

He further highlighted Mr. Adusei’s commercial track record, describing him as a self-made industrialist with a longstanding reputation for competence and integrity in regulated sectors. Boyuo said these credentials refute any notion of political fronting or undue influence.

“His business profile, longstanding commercial reputation, and proven competence in regulated sectors refutes any notion of political fronting. Mr. Adusei is a self-made industrialist whose integrity, business independence, and professional legacy render the OSP claim unsubstantiated and contrary to the factual record,” he stated.

SML has consistently maintained that its operations were lawful, transparent, and in full compliance with contractual and supervisory requirements, calling for public discussions to be based on verified facts rather than unproven claims.
