Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has reportedly disclosed the difficulties that she has encountered in her marriage and the suffering that her family has endured as a result of these difficulties, as stated in a report that was published by the Daily Post on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Regina divulged the fact that her mother, Rita Daniels, a veteran actress, had cautioned her against marrying Senator Ned Nwoko on multiple occasions.
On the other hand, she stated that she disregarded the recommendation since she was truly in love.
She pleaded with Nigerians to refrain from criticising her mother online and explained that her mother had simply wanted the best for her. Regina’s mother had loved her very much.
She stated that her mother had been subjected to public taunts for a number of years while also attempting to protect her.
Regina claims that her mother has been there for her through all of the difficulties that have arisen since the beginning of her marriage.
She referred to her mother as her “strength” and expressed remorse that she had not heeded her mother’s counsel earlier.
The actress stated that her decision to proceed with the marriage was driven more by her feelings than by her rational thought process.
She admitted that she was embarrassed to admit that love had caused her to be oblivious to warnings.
Regina refuted allegations that she had married for the purpose of gaining financial gain or out of avarice.
She went on to clarify that her family had not been experiencing any difficulties before to her marriage, and that she had already been providing for her loved ones through her acting career from the beginning.
The concept that any guy could pay a mother enough money to give away her child was something that she questioned, particularly if the mother had been the primary provider for the family’s financial needs.
“The main essence of this video is to please, stop insulting my mom. She warned me, I’m so ashamed to say I fell in love. But I actually really did. And it’s wild. But I did. Everyone said no. My mom,” she said.
