Ken Focused On Youth Job Creation – Wife

Christiana Agyapong

Mrs. Christiana Agyapong, wife of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has reaffirmed her husband’s long-standing commitment to empowering Ghanaian youth through strategic job creation initiatives.

Addressing women delegates of Nkoranza North and South in the Bono East Region, she stressed that her husband’s political ambition is driven by a vision to build a nation where young people have sustainable livelihoods, rather than being confined to limited opportunities in the public sector.

Mrs. Agyapong noted that her husband’s journey has been defined by job creation long before his pursuit of the presidency.

According to her, rising from humble beginnings, Mr. Agyapong has built and continues to expand a diverse business portfolio spanning media, manufacturing, agriculture, real estate, security services, and tourism.

She said these enterprises currently employ thousands of Ghanaians across the country, with more job opportunities in development.

She highlighted the positive ripple effects of his business ventures, particularly in communities grappling with unemployment, adding that his ability to turn ideas into viable businesses demonstrates a leader who understands how to create jobs and strengthen local industries to compete globally.

Mrs. Agyapong also referenced his proposed national agenda focused on industrialisation, agro-processing, entrepreneurship, and support for local manufacturing.

She asserted that her husband’s commitment to establishing large-scale factories in strategic zones, such as fertiliser production in the northern sector, where agriculture is a major economic driver, is a practical pathway to reducing youth unemployment, boosting food security, and increasing export earnings.

She further emphasised her husband’s vision for every region to harness its unique strengths: mechanised agriculture in the north, tourism and hospitality growth along the coast, textile revitalisation in Ashanti, and digital innovation hubs in major cities.

The goal, she said, is for the youth to achieve success and fulfilment within Ghana instead of seeking opportunities abroad.

Mrs. Agyapong assured delegates that Kennedy Agyapong remains committed to expanding technical and vocational training, supporting startups, improving access to capital for small businesses, and enforcing local content policies to ensure Ghanaian entrepreneurs benefit fully from national economic growth.

Encouraging continued support from women in the constituency, she described her husband as a leader who has demonstrated unwavering loyalty to grassroots party members and genuine concern for working families.

She added that he “stays awake at night thinking of how to create more jobs and transform the lives of ordinary Ghanaians through enterprise and innovation.”

The meeting in Nkoranza formed part of her nationwide engagement with women’s groups, where she continues to rally support for leadership built on bold ideas, economic empowerment, and opportunities for the next generation.
