Nutrifoods Ghana Limited has opened its factory doors to the public, allowing consumers to tour its production facilities and experience the food manufacturing process firsthand after completing an online application.
The initiative, according to the company, is designed to promote transparency and give consumers a deeper understanding of how its products are made, thereby reinforcing confidence in its safety and quality standards.

This move comes shortly after Nutrifoods resumed production and distribution of its Tasty Tom Enriched Tomato Mix, following clearance from the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on September 12, 2025. The approval was granted after a comprehensive assessment of the company’s operations, which reaffirmed the safety, quality, and compliance of its products.
In August 2025, Nutrifoods voluntarily recalled select batches of Tasty Tom as a precautionary measure when some products did not meet its internal quality standards.
The company described the move as part of its ongoing commitment to consumer safety and its readiness to act swiftly whenever quality concerns arise.

Addressing the development, a company representative clarified that the issue was limited to “specific batches and certain pack sizes,” emphasizing that not all Tasty Tom products were affected.
“Our products have always been on the market, but we are now back with fresh production. We have been cleared by the FDA, and our products are safe for consumption.
Consumers can confidently enjoy their favourite Tasty Tom for all their dishes,” the representative stated.

They added that the factory tours will offer consumers an opportunity to witness the entire production process from raw materials to finished products and to share their experiences with others.
“We are opening our factory to consumers so they can see for themselves how Tasty Tom is made. From now until the first week of January, every Thursday at 10 a.m., we will take visitors through a guided tour of our facility,” the company announced.
