A Mercedes-Benz ran into a tricycle at the Achimota Forest Roundabout
A tragic accident along the N1 highway has claimed the life of a tricycle driver.
The crash, which occurred on Friday, October 31, 2025, involved a Mercedes-Benz car and a tricycle loaded with refuse.
According to eyewitnesses, the Mercedes-Benz was being driven recklessly before colliding with the tricycle at the lower section of the Achimota Forest Roundabout, near the CP bus stop.
Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was so severe that the tricycle was completely mangled, leaving the driver dead at the scene.
Recklessness threatens safety on our streets
Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the collision. Police have since arrested the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who is currently assisting with investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
The incident caused heavy traffic congestion in the area as emergency responders and police officers worked to clear the wreckage and restore the flow of traffic.
