The Bono Regional Police Command has interdicted a number of officers following the circulation of a video on social media allegedly showing some personnel accepting money from motorists.
In a statement dated October 29, 2025, and signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer, for the Bono Region said the officers involved have been identified and placed on interdiction to allow for a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter.

“The Bono Regional Police Command has initiated an investigation into a video circulating on social media that shows some police officers allegedly taking money from motorists.
“The officers involved have been identified and interdicted to allow for a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident”, it noted.
The Command urged members of the public to report any incidents of misconduct to ensure swift action is taken against erring officers.

“The Command assures the public of its commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability among its personnel”, it added.
