Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture John Setor Dumelo has confirmed that two hundred households in each of the two hundred and seventy-five (275) constituencies would benefit from the day-old chicks policy dubbed “nkoko nkitinkiti”.
Appearing before the Public Account Committee, he explained that, this is a policy under the National Democratic Congress manifesto to be able to reduce the importation of poultry products, indicating that as a country we import over eighty-five percent of poultry that the country consumes.
