Patrick Tawiah-Amprofi, the legal representative of Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty, has revealed that he and his team have chosen to forgive Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, better known as Nana Agradaa.
After a recent court hearing, the lawyer addressed the press, explaining that they no longer require a formal apology from Nana Agradaa because they believe she has shown genuine regret for her previous remarks.
The disagreement started when Nana Agradaa, in a social media video, insulted the lawyer, calling him a “so-called lawyer” following their initial court proceedings. Reports from Ghbase indicated that Tawiah-Amprofi had earlier sent her a letter demanding an apology for the disrespectful comments.
According to the lawyer, he later came across another video in which Nana Agradaa appeared sincerely remorseful, prompting him and his firm to forgive her. “She made unpleasant comments about me, and I asked her to apologize. But after seeing her recent apology, I’ve decided to forgive and let go,” he told journalists.
The decision by Empress Gifty’s legal counsel reflects a commitment to peace and reconciliation. Though Nana Agradaa still has other ongoing legal matters, this gesture of forgiveness could mark a positive turning point for her reputation and reduce the animosity surrounding the case.
