“If we’re going to be able to leave the country in a good state for our children and grandchildren and generations to come there has to be some togetherness so that we can all steer in a certain direction to improve on the quality of life, the comfort in the country, and a peaceful country for everybody,” she said.
She urged Ghanaians to look past partisan differences, asserting that their final goal remains the same.
“Every stretch of the way you’ve been on, that doesn’t matter. You could be the left or the right ie the left wing or right wing. It doesn’t matter where we stand or where you stand. We all have one destination. The destination is Ghana. I pray that it goes well and that all of us will take something out of it,” she added.
The former First Lady concluded her message by emphasizing the nation’s need for spiritual blessing.
