Ghana’s Producer Price Inflation (PPI) rose in September 2025
Producer price inflation for goods and services rose to 3.2% in September 2025, up from 3.0% recorded in August 2025, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). This represents a 0.2 percentage point increase.
Despite the monthly rise, the GSS notes that this marks a sharp year-on-year decline of 27.3% compared to September 2024.
Producer Price Inflation drops sharply to 3.8% in July 2025
On a month-on-month basis, producer prices increased by 0.9% between August and September 2025, indicating that, on average, producers received 0.9% more for their goods and services than in the previous month.
The main drivers of the increase were the mining and quarrying sector, which rose from 4.9% in August 2025 to 5.0% in September 2025.
Meanwhile, the Transport and Storage sector continued to experience price declines, with inflation falling by 8.2% in September, compared to a decline of 8.0% in August 2025.
