Social media has been buzzing after a viral video captured Kwadwo Safo Jnr, son of the late Ghanaian inventor and entrepreneur Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, seemingly refusing to shake hands with popular actor Akrobeto during the 40-Day Observation of his late father.

In the widely circulated footage, sighted on October 20, 2025, Akrobeto was seen moving along a line to greet members of the Kantanka family at their tent. But when he reached Kwadwo Safo Jnr, the latter did not extend his hand, leaving Akrobeto momentarily standing in front of him.

However, another angle of the video, also sighted by GhanaWeb, showed the duo laughing and shaking hands before Akrobeto moved on to the next tent, indicating that the earlier delay was a playful moment between the two.

Don’t allow confusion, anarchy to dissipate the legacies of Kantanka – Bagbin to family

Many social media users had earlier speculated that there was bad blood between them. They pointed to a video that surfaced on October 17, during an earlier memorial ceremony for the late Kantanka, where Kwadwo Safo Jnr was again seen greeting other guests but appeared to skip Akrobeto, sparking debate among fans and observers.

This recent situation at the 40-Day celebration, however, shows that there is no rift or tension between the Kantanka heir and the veteran actor.

Observers and fans even suggested that the earlier video may have simply captured an unintentional oversight or a moment taken out of context.
