He said the Commission received a total of 509 complaints against the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Ghana Water Limited (GWL) in the third quarter of the year.

Out of these, 269 complaints were successfully resolved.

Additionally, Asiedu said PURC had facilitated the replacement of nine faulty electric poles, seven faulty transformers, and ten defective meters in the region.

Furthermore, eight new service connections, which had been delayed for several months, were completed, and several burst pipes were repaired.

Asiedu emphasised that PURC is committed to ensuring that utility companies deliver effectively while maintaining fairness, transparency, and improved services.

He added that the Commission remains vigilant in regulating utility companies effectively and protecting the rights of consumers.
