Kelvin Taylor, a Ghanaian media personality based in the United States, has triggered heated reactions across social media after making explosive allegations against an unnamed female Supreme Court judge. Speaking on his show, Taylor claimed that one of the five top female justices—Gertrude Torkornoo, Mariama Owusu, Lovelace Johnson, Henrietta Mensah-Bonsu, or Barbara Ackah-Yensu—is entangled in a secret romantic relationship with a married man significantly younger than her. He warned that if the judge fails to identify herself and resign by November 11, he will release evidence to the public exposing the affair.
According to Taylor, he possesses compelling proof, including photos, videos, and text messages, that confirm his claims. He alleged that the man, known only as Emmanuel, works in Ghana’s milk production industry and previously went through a divorce with assistance from the said judge. Taylor questioned why the judge, who portrays herself as a committed Christian and wife, often stayed overnight at Emmanuel’s McCarthy Hill residence and was seen leaving at dawn.
Taylor further hinted at another questionable relationship involving the judge and a Member of Parliament, claiming they often met near Swiss School. He challenged her to explain the nature of these relationships publicly.
The outspoken host justified his actions as part of his mission to promote accountability and ethical conduct among public officials, particularly those in positions of judicial authority. His remarks have divided the public—some believe he is shedding light on corruption and moral decay, while others accuse him of blackmail and sensationalism.
As the announced deadline approaches, the controversy continues to dominate public discourse, raising questions about integrity, transparency, and the limits of investigative journalism in Ghana’s judicial and political systems.
