I’ve never criticised Mahama over ambulance case – Kwamena Ahwoi

Former Local Government Minister Professor Kwamena Ahwoi has issued a public disclaimer denying reports circulating online that falsely attribute comments to him regarding President John Dramani Mahama and a recent legal decision by the Attorney-General.

In a statement released on Sunday, Prof. Ahwoi described the reports as “false and misleading,” emphasizing that he has not made any public statements or media appearances related to the matter.

The reports in question suggest that Prof. Ahwoi echoed remarks allegedly made by Mr. Kwamena Duncan, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), during a discussion on Peace FM. According to the claims, Prof. Ahwoi allegedly questioned President Mahama’s integrity over the Attorney-General’s decision to withdraw an appeal concerning the dismissed ambulance procurement case.

Prof. Ahwoi firmly denied the attribution, stating, “I have neither appeared on Peace FM nor made any such comments.”

He called on the general public to disregard the reports and treat them as entirely unfounded.
