Liberal Party of Ghana leader and presidential candidate Percival Kofi Akpaloo has openly attacked veteran broadcaster Godsbrain Kwadwo, better known as Captain Smart, following claims that he tried to exploit Akua Donkor’s death by associating himself with her relatives.

During a heated discussion on Kingdom FM, Akpaloo hit back at the journalist, calling him a known thief in Kumasi. He alleged that Captain Smart was once imprisoned for stealing and even claimed to have personally offered him financial assistance.

The dispute has drawn attention to Captain Smart’s controversial past, as other public figures from Kumasi have previously made similar allegations against him. According to Abro, a local commentator, the journalist’s home in Kumasi was once demolished and he was apprehended for theft.
