Danquah Adjei Domson, the 21-year-old youngest lawyer recently called to the Bar, has shared details of his childhood journey.

Appearing as a guest on TV3’s Afternoon Show on October 14, 2025, Domson said that he had his basic education in Dansoman, Accra, before moving to his hometown, Breman Essikuma, to further his education.

He indicated that, due to his exceptional academic performance, he joined the final-year basic education students in writing the BECE, where he excelled despite not yet being in the final year.

“My journey started in Lovely Kids at Dansoman. When we moved to Sakaman, I moved to Ave Maria School where I stayed for my basic education. During that time, we’d usually go and visit our hometowns during holidays.

“I really loved the place. I enjoyed the moment over there and so, it was on one of such occasions that I decided to school in my hometown. I schooled at Colonel Baidoo Basic School in my hometown. At that point, my parents decided saying ‘Nana, you are good. Why don’t you try it with the form three’s over there and see how it turns out.’ So, it was this trial that eventually led me to starting my secondary education at the age of 12,” he narrated.

Domson also disclosed that he sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) at the age of 15, where he also excelled in his exams.

“… I built my faith in God and from there I passed, I wrote the WASSCE at 15,” he continued.

Opening up about his motivation for pursuing law and becoming a lawyer, Domson added that he developed his passion as a result of his interest in social studies and government courses during his primary school days.

He further explained that he chose to study law because he believed it best aligned with the subjects he enjoyed and would enable him to make a positive impact in society.

“My decision to read law was born out of my love for social studies back in primary and JHS one. But when I went to Life [International College], my government and history teachers made the course so exciting for me. I enjoyed government and history. I like this thing and law suited it so perfectly,” he disclosed.

“So, I said, I’m going for this. And I also found that there’s law in everything. There’s media law, communication, commercial law, contract law, there’s law governing everything. It’s like a platform to solve problems in society, so, why not go for this course? I made my decision to go for law,” he added.

Born on April 12, 2004, Danquah Domson’s pursuit of legal excellence led him to the University of Cape Coast’s Faculty of Law, where he studied from 2019 to 2023, graduating with First Class Honours.
