“Something Is Happening At The Presidency” – Kwesi Pratt Drops Hint

Veteran journalist and political commentator, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has caused a stir on social media after making an interesting post about current developments at the Presidency.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) page on Wednesday, 15th October, 2025, Mr. Pratt hinted that something unusual and significant might be going on within the government.

In his post, he wrote, “Something very interesting is happening in the Presidency and observers are watching with very keen eyes and listening with anxious ears.” His statement has sparked widespread discussion, especially because it comes at a time when key figures in government have made bold comments about the future of Ghana’s leadership.

Kwesi Pratt referred to remarks made by the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who recently stated that he sees a future President of Ghana in the current Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

Haruna Iddrisu, who has been mentioned in a Global Info Analytics poll as a leading contender to succeed President John Dramani Mahama, reportedly repeated his prediction about the Vice President’s potential to lead the country.

President Mahama himself has also spoken about the possibility of Ghana having a female president soon. Speaking at the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Beijing, China, President Mahama said Ghana has made historic progress by electing its first female Vice President and appointing women to top positions in government, the judiciary, and security agencies.

“These are not symbolic gestures,” Mahama stated. “They affirm that women deserve a seat at the highest levels of decision-making. I am confident that in the very near future, our women will break the glass ceiling and there will be a woman president of the Republic of Ghana.”

Kwesi Pratt ended his post by saying, “Well, something is definitely happening at least at the Presidency and in the Government machine, and we can see and feel it.”

His post has since gained massive attention online, with many people suggesting that Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang could be preparing to make history as Ghana’s first female President.
