The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has stated that the government remains committed to ensuring that its Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative is accomplished.
Speaking at a gathering, in a video posted by TV3 on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Asiedu Nketiah stated that work has begun, indicating that some prosecutions of former government appointees are already underway.

He acknowledged the challenges and difficulties in delivering on such a promise, adding, however, that they remain resolute and will not relent in that pursuit.
Asiedu Nketiah also assured that state funds misappropriated by former appointees will be recovered.
“Another difficult promise which we are struggling to deliver and that is the Operation Recover All Loot. We all know how much the NPP government in 8 years has stolen from the national coffers and we have promised to recover all the money that has been stolen.
“We are not yielding and work has started seriously to ensure that these money are recovered and they are put to good use,” he assured.
Meanwhile, as part of ORAL, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, has officially charged two persons in the National Service Scheme ghost names scandal.
The former Deputy Director-General of the National Service Authority, Gifty Oware-Mensah, has been accused of money laundering, theft of state funds, among other offences.

Additionally, the former Executive Director of the National Service Authority, Osei Assibey Antwi has been charged with 14 criminal counts, including causing financial loss to the state, theft, and money laundering.
