I’m contesting General Secretary position to make NPP stronger, effective – Boakye Antwi

Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary and former Subin MP, Eugene Boakye Antwi, says his decision to contest for the party’s top administrative role is driven by a commitment to rebuild and strengthen the NPP.

According to him, the NPP’s internal structures have weakened over time and contributed to the party’s poor showing in the 2024 elections.

“I am contesting this position because I want to strengthen our party. I also want to ensure that we operate efficiently at all levels and make sure that NPP continues to be a platform that delivers real results for Ghanaians,” he said on Citi Eyewitness News on Tuesday October 14.

He believes the current state of the party’s operations does not reflect its true potential and must be addressed.

“I think our structures let us down as a party because if you look at the results that came from the 2024 elections, they were nothing to write home about. So that is what has spurred me on to contest for this position.”
