The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Clinic, and nine other health facilities have been shutdown on Tuesday, October 14, by the Heath Facilities and Regulatory Agency (HeFRA), as part of its ongoing enforcement exercise in the Ashanti Region.
The action forms part of efforts to clamp down on health facilities operating without the required licences and proper documentation.

The crackdown, began on Monday, October 13, 2025, aiming to clamp down on facilities operating without the required licenses and proper documentation.
According to HeFRA officials, the KMA Clinic has been operating for several years without a valid license, a clear violation of the agency’s regulatory standards.
So far, 18 health facilities across the region have been closed since the exercise began.
