Energy minister in a meeting with stakeholders
The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring a reliable and sustainable power supply across the country.
On Monday, October 13, 2025, the minister held a continuation of a strategic meeting with key stakeholders in the power sector as part of ongoing engagements aimed at consolidating progress and advancing Ghana’s energy transition agenda.
According to the minister, discussions centred on comprehensive strategies and actionable plans extending through 2030, with a focus on improving generation, transmission, and distribution systems nationwide.
“Our discussions focused on practical measures to guarantee the consistent power supply and to modernise the energy sector. As a government, we are determined to ensure that the progress made so far is not only protected but further enhanced to support economic growth and improve livelihoods,” Jinapor stated.
The engagement forms part of the Ministry’s broader Green Transition Programme, which seeks to balance Ghana’s growing energy needs with sustainable and environmentally responsible policies.
Jinapor emphasised that maintaining stability in the power sector remains critical to industrialisation, job creation, and national development.
He assured the public that the government will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to achieve long-term energy security and efficiency.
