The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohunu, has paid glowing tribute to the late Apostle Professor Emeritus Kwadwo Safo, describing him as “a true gift from God to the nation, Ghana.”

This came when the family of the late man of God, industrialist, and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, together with church leaders and the executive management of the Kantanka Group of Companies, paid a courtesy call on the IGP on Friday to officially inform the Ghana Police Service of his passing.

In his remarks, IGP Yohunu recounted the numerous ways the late Apostle supported the Police Service over the years, noting that his philanthropy and generosity extended to every sector of national life.

“Apostle Safo was a true patriot whose acts of benevolence greatly benefited the Ghana Police Service. His advocacy on the potential of the African and his belief that Africans can be masters of their own destiny has inspired many of us to strive for excellence,” the IGP stated.

He assured the family of the Police Service’s full support in ensuring adequate security during the burial and the 40-day observation ceremonies of the late Apostle.

The Head of the Family, Sarah Adwoa Safo, who led the delegation, expressed gratitude to the IGP and the entire Police Service for their warm reception. She appealed for continued collaboration to ensure a befitting farewell for her late father.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo, widely celebrated as a visionary inventor, industrialist, farmer, and philanthropist, passed away recently.

He was the Founder and Leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana and the brain behind the Kantanka range of innovations.
