The National Sports Authority (NSA) has tightened security at the Accra Sports Stadium as the Black Stars prepare to face Comoros in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

With rehabilitation works at the stadium completed and seating fully restored, approximately 32,000 spectators are expected to attend the nation’s final group game.

Due to the high turnout, a large number of security personnel have been deployed to ensure peace and tranquillity throughout the event.

Armoured vehicles from the Ghana Police Service have also been stationed at strategic points to respond swiftly in case of any emergencies during the match.

The Accra Sports Stadium is expected to be filled to capacity, boosting the morale of the players as they aim to defeat Comoros convincingly and avenge the two previous losses suffered against the team.

Kickoff is scheduled for 19:00 GMT.

Ghana only needs to avoid a 9–0 defeat to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
