The name Paul Chen was met with applause, cheers, and chants when a Chinese national received his Call to the Bar Certificate of Enrollment on October 10, 2025.
Paul Chen was among the 824 lawyers who were called to the Bar on Friday, October 10, 2025.
Cheng, a 47-year-old Chinese national, moved to Ghana at a young age. He is an old student of TI Ahmadiyya Secondary School and holds a law degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Cheng did not only stand out during the occasion, he also captured everyone’s heart and stole the moment.

His certificate of enrollment was presented to him by the Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr Justice Srem-Sai.
The auditorium of the Accra International Conference Centre was filled with loud chants and excitement following the mention of his name.
Attendees and fellow members of the Bar were on their feet, clapping and cheering as he walked up the stage to receive his certificate.
