In a rare convergence of faith and politics, Krobea Kwabena Asante, a key aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has publicly backed a prophetic vision foretelling Bawumia’s triumphant return as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer in the upcoming 2026 primaries. Asante’s endorsement, shared via social media, highlights the prophet’s uncannily precise forecasts from the 2024 elections and aligns them with internal party surveys pointing to the same outcome.
Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi, head pastor of Conquerors Chapel International’s Kumasi branch, has emerged as a polarizing yet respected figure in Ghana’s prophetic landscape following his detailed pre-election revelations last year. Known for his granular predictions—including John Dramani Mahama’s presidential win, unexpected National Democratic Congress (NDC) gains in the NPP’s Ashanti stronghold, and specific parliamentary seat losses for the ruling party at the time—Worlasi’s words carried weight when they materialized on December 7, 2024. His forecasts even extended to international events, such as Donald Trump’s U.S. election victory and domestic issues like a drivers’ strike, further burnishing his reputation as what Asante dubs the “scientific prophet.”
Worlasi, who faced backlash post-2024 including an attack on his home for perceived NDC bias despite his non-partisan stance, has doubled down on his NPP forecast in media appearances. In a July 2025 interview on Neat FM, he described a vision where the primaries were “already conducted and won in the realms of the spirit.” He elaborated that while aspirant Kennedy Agyapong might command crowds, voters’ true allegiances would swing to Bawumia, shocking observers. “The election has already been conducted and won in the realms of the spirit,” Worlasi stated, emphasizing that spiritual forces, not human efforts, would seal the result unless divinely altered.
Asante’s response, posted online amid intensifying primaries buzz, marks a bold foray into the often divisive realm of electoral prophecies—a space he admits he’s “not an advocate for.” Yet, he credits Worlasi as “the sole prophet in 2024 who accurately predicted almost all outcomes,” praising the breakdown of parliamentary results and “safe seats the NPP would lose” that defied conventional wisdom but proved true. “When he mentioned certain safe seats the NPP would lose, I thought, ‘How is this possible?’ Yet it became a reality,” Asante wrote. Turning to the future, he echoed Worlasi’s claim: “He claims Dr. Bawumia will win the 2026 NPP primaries. Let’s observe how it unfolds.”
As a self-described “student of elections,” Asante bolstered the prophecy with empirical data, revealing that he and associates have commissioned independent surveys ahead of the January 31, 2026, primaries. “All data made available to me and my associates indicate Dr. Bawumia will win the 2026 primaries,” he affirmed, invoking a prayer for longevity and health to witness the event.
