I Didn’t Plan To Marry A Second Wife, I Only Married A Second Wife By Mistake- Segun Ogungbe

Popular Nollywood actor Segun Ogungbe has revealed why he does not like polygamous marriage, while also stating why marrying a second wife was a mistake for him.

According to the video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Biola Adebayo Ent TV on Monday, October 7, 2025, during an interview, he explained that he never planned to marry a second wife, saying that it happened by mistake.

When asked how he has managed to cope with two wives, Segun Ogungbe said, “I have never intended to be in a polygamous marriage, but only God knows what will happen in the future. Since I was younger, I have never thought of marrying multiple wives, but I believe it’s in my destiny. Polygamous marriage may be good for some people, but as for me, I didn’t find it easy. No matter how the two wives love the husband, they will still have continuous issues with each other. I’m not saying that men shouldn’t marry multiple wives because we all have different priorities. I didn’t plan to marry a second wife, I only married a second wife by mistake.”
