Speaking at the ongoing Digital Government Africa Conference 2025 during panel discussions in Zambia, the Deputy Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, shared Ghana’s remarkable progress in implementing a National Identification System.
The Deputy Minister underscored the significance of digital identity in shaping inclusive governance and resilient digital economies in Africa, stating that Ghana’s National Identification System, anchored by the Ghana Card, has been instrumental in improving access to essential services, financial inclusion and participation in the digital society.
