Kwame Baffoe is the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP
The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has been granted bail of GH¢1 million with two sureties after his arrest on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, over fresh charges of publication of false news with intent to create fear and panic, and offensive conduct.
According to an update shared on TV3’s Facebook page, the court granted the bail following two new criminal counts brought against him.

“Abronye has been re-arrested and charged with two new criminal counts. The court has granted him bail set at GH¢1 million with two sureties for the offenses related to false publication and insulting conduct,” the report stated.
This marks the second time in three weeks that the NPP Regional Chairman has been arrested.

On September 8, 2025, Abronye was picked up and charged with offensive conduct likely to breach the public peace, as well as the publication of false news.
He was later granted bail of GH¢50,000 with one surety, without justification.
