Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei is the former Electoral Commission Chairperson
Former Electoral Commission Chairperson Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei has shared her achievements spanning 31 years since being called to the Bar.
In a post made on X on October 6, 2025, Charlotte Osei detailed that since 1994, she has successfully occupied 15 different roles, both locally and internationally.
She detailed that her 31 years as a legal practitioner have earned her the opportunity to serve as Chairperson of NCCE, Electoral Commissioner in Afghanistan, among other roles.
“My life in law: 31 years. 15 roles. Chair NCCE & EC Gh. law firm founder. Board member, TV host. Legal counsel to banks. Law lecturer. International Electoral Commissioner in Afghanistan. Wealth & legacy mgt,” she said.

Osei further noted that each role has taught her a priceless lesson; hence, she is willing to share it with interested individuals.
“Each role taught me something invaluable. Which one would you like to learn more about?” she added.
Charlotte Osei’s statement comes in response to the launch of the Millennium Lawyers’ 25th Anniversary in Ghana.
During the launch, key legal practitioners, including the Commissioner of Police (COP), Lydia Yaako Donkor, and others, were present.
