130 students at various tertiary institutions have received financial assistance from the Member of Parliament for the Zabzugu constituency in the Northern Region
60 nursing trainees and 70 students in other tertiary institutions, including teacher training colleges, universities, and polytechnics, benefited from 300 applications received.
Speaking to Citi News, the member of parliament for Zabzugu Alhassan Umar Abaako, urged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and to make good use of the opportunity so that they can give back to their communities in the future.
He also assured those who could not benefit to remain hopeful, as more support is being planned, and announced plans to establish an educational fund dedicated to supporting medical students from the constituency.

“They should not finish their courses and run away from the community. We want them to come back to the communities and pay back by being Mentors, role models, and being successful, so that other children growing up, when they see them as successful members of the community, they will also learn to become better people, citizens out there. So that is the only thing that I require,” he said
