The Abanpredease Palace in Dormaa Ahenkro was filled with jubilation as residents celebrated the return of their paramount chief, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, following his elevation to the Court of Appeal.
On October 2, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama swore in Dormaahene, together with 20 other justices, to the Court of Appeal bench in Accra.
Following the event, the Dormaahene, who is also known in private life as Daniel Mensah, received a hero’s welcome upon his arrival in Dormaa.

In videos that surfaced online, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II was seen walking through the palace grounds amid loud cheers from elated residents.
He later waved to the jubilant crowd from the palace balcony, acknowledging their support and affection.

The palace courtyard came alive with music, drumming and dancing as the paramount chief’s convoy made its way to the royal residence.
