The Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and her entourage joined the chiefs and people of the Asogli State in Ho to celebrate the annual Yam Festival durbar.
In a video posted on X by sikaofficial on October 4,2025, the Vice President was seen receiving a warm welcome from the chiefs and elders of Asogli state.
The atmosphere at the durbar grounds was filled with drumming, dancing, and colourful displays of traditional regalia as the people marked the occasion with pride and joy.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s presence at the festival underscored government’s recognition of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and its commitment to preserving traditional institutions.
She interacted with the chiefs and people, expressing appreciation for their warm reception and reaffirming the government’s support for cultural celebrations that promote national cohesion.
