Haruna Iddrisu’s Son Becomes A CEO At 20, Ghanaians React

Ghana’s Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has every reason to be proud as his 20-year-old son, Wunnam Iddrisu, has taken a bold step into the world of business.

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, Wunnam officially launched his own sports agency, Kick Nation Sports Agency, in a grand ceremony that has caught the attention of many Ghanaians. This is was announced on the official Facebook page of Haruna Iddrisu.

The young entrepreneur arrived at the event in a well-tailored suit, looking confident and ready for the big day. The launch attracted several notable figures in Ghana’s sports and entertainment industry.

Legendary Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan, his brother Baffour Gyan, and former midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu were all present to show their support. Many sports journalists and influencers also attended, making the occasion even more remarkable.

Videos from the event showed Wunnam warmly greeting Asamoah Gyan and later giving a speech on stage to share his vision for the new agency. This proud moment for the young CEO quickly went viral on social media, with many praising his determination and courage to start a business at such a young age.

Not much was known about Wunnam before this launch. However, it has now been revealed that he is a student at Ashesi University, where he is studying Information Technology with a focus on cybersecurity. Despite his academic background, Wunnam’s love for sports inspired him to establish Kick Nation, hoping to help discover and manage talented athletes in Ghana and beyond.

Wunnam’s father, Haruna Iddrisu, is no stranger to the world of sports. Apart from his political career as the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, he owns two football clubs in Ghana — Karela United and Steadfast FC. Through his efforts in football development, Haruna played a role in nurturing young talents like Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who now plays for Ghana’s national team and England’s Leicester City.
