Fatawu Issahaku hails Leicester fans after wonder goal in comeback win at Swansea – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Leicester City winger Fatawu Issahaku has expressed his delight after scoring a stunning goal in the Foxes’ 3-1 comeback win against Swansea City on Saturday, a result that keeps their promotion push firmly on track.

Over 2,000 travelling Leicester fans witnessed Issahaku’s spectacular strike, his third goal of the season, as the Ghanaian continued his impressive run of form following a long injury layoff last season.

“Yes, it always feels good to win games and it feels bad to lose games,” Issahaku said after the match. “I said it last week, it’s good when you take points from some games because you need them as the league goes on. We got the win today, now we go for national team duty, and we’ll come back and keep going.”

The 21-year-old also took time to acknowledge the travelling fans. “It’s always good to make them happy. Some people left their families to come and support us, so you need to do everything to make them proud. They’re going home with that great feeling after a win, and that’s amazing.”

Reflecting on his goal, Issahaku said: “It was a great feeling when the ball hit the back of the net, it’s what I wanted. I didn’t know where to go, so I just ran to the bench because they give us so much support.”

The Ghanaian winger, who also has an assist this season, will now join the Black Stars camp ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
