Barbara Brako is the newly elected District Chairperson for GIFF, Tema
The Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), Tema Chapter, has elected its first female district chairperson to lead its affairs.
Barbara Brako, who previously served as Vice Chairperson and Chair of the Welfare Committee, has been elected as the chapter’s new Chairperson.
During the election process, Brako focused her speech on stronger advocacy, member welfare, innovation, and inclusivity.
She emphasised the importance of professional development, transparency, and digitization of the Secretariat to enhance member engagement and operational efficiency.
New GIFF executives sworn into office
“To my supporters, I thank you for your trust and enthusiasm. To those who didn’t support me, I pledge to earn your trust and work for the betterment of our beloved district,” she said.
Brako also committed to repositioning the GIFF brand to attract donor support and expand internally generated funds.
“Let’s work together to build a better future for all. Let’s unite, let’s innovate, and let’s make our district a place where everyone thrives,” she added.
New executives were also elected alongside her to support the district leadership in advancing the association’s mandate.
