“Judge… That’s a good man” Female rapper Yung Miami writes character statement for her ex-boyfriend Diddy ahead of his sentencing

Caresha Brownlee, better known by her stage name Yung Miami, has written a character statement vouching for Sean “Didd” Combs amid his sentencing that’s coming up.

Diddy is set to be sentenced on October 3 by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, and his lawyers have asked a US judge to impose a 14-month prison sentence on the producer and rapper after he was convicted of prostitution-related offences.

The music mogul was acquitted on the more serious charges of s3x trafficking and racketeering.

The 55-year-old star faces a maximum of 20 years in prison after he was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, Diddy has pleaded not guilty and is said to be appealing his conviction.

Pleading for a lesser sentence for Diddy, Yung Miami, who dated the music mogul, wrote to the judge. She sang Diddy’s praise and told of how he helped “shape” her professionally and personally.

She stated that while she cannot speak on or defend anything that may have happened before she met Diddy, she can attest to the fact that for the 4 years she knew him, he saw a “different person than the one often portrayed”.

She said she truly believes Diddy belongs at home with his family and begged the judge to grant him freedom.

“Judge… That’s a good man,” she concluded.
