A third suspect linked to the murder of 38-year-old Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, has reportedly died after a short illness.
The development was confirmed to Citi News by the deceased’s brother, Kwasi Amoako, who said he was informed by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer handling the case.
“Yesterday we went to court and I can confirm that the third suspect has passed on. I was told by the Police CID, the one who is in charge of the case. We thank God that our brother has started seeking justice for himself,” Mr. Amoako said.
The death of the suspect adds a new twist to the ongoing case, which has attracted public attention following the brutal killing of the officer. Mr. Amoah’s family has consistently demanded swift and thorough investigations to bring closure and ensure justice is served.
Police are yet to issue an official statement on the reported death.
Amoah, 38, was reported missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate. His charred body was later discovered on July 9 at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya, sparking a manhunt and an intensive police investigation.
