“NDC Will Accept Criticisms from Ghanaians, Not NPP” – Mustapha Gbande

Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, Mustapha Gbande, has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will only take corrections and criticisms from the Ghanaian electorate who entrusted the party with power, and not from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to a report by GhanaWeb, speaking in an interview, Gbande emphasized that the NDC’s focus is on addressing the needs of Ghanaians, insisting that the party remains accountable to the people who voted them into office.

He maintained that while constructive feedback from citizens is welcomed, the NPP lacks the moral authority to critique the policies and governance style of the NDC.

“The NDC is committed to listening to Ghanaians because they gave us the mandate to lead. We will take corrections, suggestions, and criticisms from the people who voted for us, not from the NPP, whose governance track record speaks for itself,” Gbande asserted.

According to him, the opposition party is attempting to divert attention from the challenges it left behind while in government.

He noted that the NDC will remain focused on fulfilling its promises and implementing policies aimed at improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

Gbande further highlighted that criticisms from the NPP often stem from political rivalry rather than a genuine concern for national development.

He called on the opposition to allow the ruling party to govern and to respect the decision of Ghanaians at the polls.

The Deputy Director reaffirmed the NDC’s resolve to remain people-centered, stressing that the government will continue to prioritize the interests of the citizenry.

He assured Ghanaians that their voices and concerns will guide the party’s actions throughout its tenure.
