Veteran commentator Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has urged Ghanaians to await forensic findings on the August 6 helicopter crash, pushing back against parliamentary Speaker Alban Bagbin’s recent endorsement of prophetic warnings.
In a new YouTube episode, the satirist emphasized international experts are analyzing the wreckage to determine if mechanical, technical, or human error caused the tragedy that killed eight officials.
“Very soon what went wrong will come out for all Ghana to see,” KSM stated. “Hopefully, talk about ‘why did God do that’ will stop.”
He referenced his earlier arguments against attributing disasters to divine will, directly countering Bagbin’s call for citizens not to dismiss prophecies. The Speaker had recently asserted “not all [prophets] are looking for money” when urging seriousness about spiritual warnings.
KSM maintained that evidence, not speculation, should guide the national conversation once investigators release their report. His stance highlights a growing tension between Ghana’s rationalist and faith-based responses to the catastrophe as the nation seeks closure.
