President John Dramani Mahama will be away from Sunday, August 17 on national assignments
The Presidency has announced that President John Dramani Mahama will be making a trip to Asia for an official two-nation visits to Japan and Singapore.
The visit to the two Asian powerhouses is aimed at deepening bilateral relations, expanding trade and and investments links, and advancing cooperation on shared development priorities.
In Japan, as the statement said; “The President will attend the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IX), where he will make a presentation at a plenary session on the Economy. Promoting Trade and Investment.”
It added that; “President Mahama will deliver an address at a Ghana Presidential investment Forum, showcasing Ghana’s investment opportunities and the Resetting Ghana agenda. He will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with key Japanese partners including the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency.”
The president after his business in Japan will go to Singapore for a three day visit before returning to Ghana.
President John Dramani Mahama and his entourage will leave Ghana for their Asian trip on Sunday, August 17, 2025, the statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, said.
