John Dumelo marks his late mother’s 2 years
In a heartfelt moment captured at her graveside, Mr Dumelo, dressed in all-black, was seen holding a bouquet of flowers, kneeling beside her tombstone in solemn remembrance. Sharing the moment on social media, he wrote:
“Yesterday was 2 years since you left us. Continue to rest in perfect peace my Antoinette Ama Ampomaa Dumelo. Love you mummy.”
Madam Veronica Dumelo, affectionately called Antoinette, passed away on August 15, 2023, after battling illness. Her funeral was held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra, where family, friends, and several dignitaries gathered to celebrate her life.
Dumelo, who was visibly emotional during the funeral, has since spoken about how deeply her passing has affected him, often describing her as his greatest pillar of strength and guidance.
Two years later, the grief still lingers, but Dumelo continues to honour her memory with gestures of love and remembrance. His touching tribute has resonated with many of his fans and followers, who joined him online to offer words of comfort and prayers for his late mother’s soul.
For Dumelo, the flowers laid at her grave symbolise not just love but an eternal bond that death cannot break.
