“He Said They’d Sacrifice Everything, Even Lives” – Kwamena Duncan Slams NDC Chairman

Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of harbouring what he calls a dangerous “standing declaration” that puts their members at risk as per reports from MyNewsGH.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, Duncan claimed that remarks made by NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, in 2022 have effectively rendered “every NDC member a potential human sacrifice.”

Duncan cited biblical scripture from Proverbs 18:21 to emphasise his concerns, arguing that words carry lasting consequences.

He alleged that Nketiah, during the NDC’s 10th National Delegates Congress, declared the party’s willingness to “sacrifice everything, including our lives” to achieve their political goals.

According to Duncan, such a statement, unless publicly retracted, remains active and dangerous.

“At the time he made that statement, he had the potential to carry it out,” Duncan stressed, adding that its continued existence poses a symbolic threat to members of the party.

The former minister’s comments came amid national mourning following a military helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.

The accident claimed the lives of several high-profile figures, including Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and other senior officials, as well as three Ghana Armed Forces crew members.

Linking the tragedy to his broader concerns, Duncan suggested that political rhetoric must be carefully weighed to avoid unintended implications.
