Popular Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, has married a yet-to-be-identified partner in a private nikkah ceremony on Saturday.
The low-key wedding reportedly took place at the Atiku Auwal Mosque in Unguwan Rimi, Kaduna.
A video from the event showed clerics and close family members present during the prayer session.
Sadau also confirmed the marriage in a post on Instagram later that day, sharing moments from the ceremony.
In another scene, she was seen celebrating with her sisters and close friends during the wedding festivities.
Her marriage comes after years of backlash from some members of her Arewa fan base, who have criticised her dressing and flamboyant fashion style as being at odds with traditional northern theatre practices.
She wrote, “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem…Alhamdulillah, My Nikkah was done today.
“I am officially a Mrs. A new chapter unfolds. My heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy.
“May the Almighty bless our union with tranquility, everlasting love, happiness, and abundant prosperity.
“We kindly ask for your prayers as we step into this beautiful new journey together. ”
