The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has raised alarm over what it describes as a growing state of insecurity and electoral violence in the country, particularly in the lead-up to the Akwatia by-election.
Speaking after a meeting with the newly constituted Governing Board of the National Peace Council at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, emphasized the need for proactive engagement by the Council to prevent escalation of tensions.
