The Gomoa East District Police in the Central Region have apprehended four individuals in connection with the murder of Alexander Kwaku Boateng, a 65-year-old private security guard at Ojobi.

The victim’s body was discovered on June 30 at the premises of a One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) project, with his head wrapped in a plastic bag and his hands and legs tied, suggesting suffocation.

An intelligence-led operation led to the arrest of Samuel Larbie, a 28-year-old businessman; Wisdom Sosu, a 32-year-old motor mechanic; Nabil Mohammed; and Mahmoud Kadir.

Larbie and Sosu are identified as the primary suspects in the murder, while Mohammed and Kadir allegedly purchased stolen items, including the deceased’s Infinix Smart 8 phone worth GH¢1,800.00.

Four additional suspects remain at large and are currently being pursued by the police.
