Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has refuted claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is avoiding the Bawku conflict, insisting the party is committed to resolving the issue.
Speaking in Parliament during the debate on the mid-year budget review on Thursday, July 31, 2025, Ayariga blamed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the crisis, arguing that peace prevailed in Bawku under the NDC from the 1980s until former President Kufuor assumed office in 2001.
