‘My family at a point rejected me for doing ministry’

The Head Pastor of the Kumasi branch of Conquerors Chapel International, Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi, has shared a poignant account of how his family rejected him at a critical point in his spiritual journey.

According to Prophet Worlasi, his family struggled to understand why he chose to pursue a life in ministry after earning a first degree in journalism, which they expected him to leverage for a secular career.

In an interview with Etsey Atisu on GhanaWeb TV’s Lowdown show, Prophet Worlasi explained that his family completely misunderstood his decision to pursue ministry.

He revealed, “About five years into my ministry was hell. I went through a lot. It got to a time, family rejected me because they couldn’t understand why I came out of school and said I want to do ministry.”

However, Prophet Worlasi added that his family eventually came to understand and approve of his calling when they saw the tangible manifestation of God’s power in his life.

He said, “In the beginning, they did not approve, and they were not getting everything, but they later understood what I was doing when they saw the tangibility of the power of God working in my life.”

During this challenging period, Prophet Worlasi credited his friends with providing crucial support, helping him persevere through difficult times and stay committed to his ministry.

According to him, he became a prayer warrior at Global Revival Ministry, where praying day and night became his mainstay since he had no formal work.

“A friend dedicated himself that every month he would divide his salary into two and give me half because I think he saw the future, and that guy I promised him something big and it will come”. He prophesied.

Prophet Worlasi shared a heart-touching moment from his past, recalling how a woman he had hoped to marry called him while he was on Atwea Mountain, seeking God’s guidance.

In a heart-wrenching conversation, she informed him that she could not bear the uncertainty of hoping against hope any longer and had decided to move on.

Prophet Worlasi has gained respect for his accurate prophecies, as most of his prophecies often manifest with precision.

For instance, before the 2024 general elections, he prophesied that the NDC was going to win massively and that the NPP would not secure more than 115 seats in parliament because the party was going to lose, and it did happen.
