TM Entertainmentz, management of iconic highlife musician Daddy Lumba, announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated USA and Canada tour on July 26, 2025.

The decision follows the singer’s death earlier that day, ending plans for his historic return to North American stages after 25 years. A statement from the group described “heavy hearts and deep sorrow,” confirming all tour activities were halted immediately.

The management confirmed the passing of Charles Kwadwo Fosu, globally celebrated as Daddy Lumba, calling it “devastating news” leaving “an irreplaceable void.” TM Entertainmentz emphasized the tour aimed to honor his lifetime of timeless music and legacy. Instead, they now shift focus to commemorating his spirit. The statement extended condolences to the Fosu family and urged fans to respect their privacy during this period of grief.

Former President Nana Akufo-Addo, opposition leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), publicly mourned the loss on social media, describing Daddy Lumba as “my dear friend” and “a pantheon among musical greats.” Akufo-Addo acknowledged the artist’s special connection with Ghanaians and noted his songs’ lasting impact on political campaigns. TM Entertainmentz concluded by affirming the late singer’s music “will live forever,” reflecting his indelible mark on Ghanaian culture.
